Much of the suffering we experience is the result of trying to cling and hold onto our dying lives. Jesus knew when we focus our attention only on the here and now; there is little hope of finding inner peace in the turbulence of the storms we encounter. He taught us we must turn loose of our life to discover eternal life in Him, for nothing in this world is permanent and lasting. Jesus suffered and died to reveal the timeless revelation of the Father above, calling us to experience in our inner being the character of selfless love and resurrection power. (The Funeral)

The good news is we can let go of the hopeless trappings of this fleeting life to live with the present awareness of immortality alive in the Eternal Spirit of God. No longer are we preoccupied with the curse of original sin; we now live aware of the unique blessing of being created in God’s image. God is no longer feared, for we now comprehend the depth of love revealed through our Redeemer Kinsman, who is the representative and firstborn of all the sons and daughters of humanity. We no longer suffer without purpose or hope, but now with the expectation as the apostle, Paul writes, for our light and momentary troubles, are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV.

For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Mathew 16:25 NIV
