There are strong desires driven by internal forces where you try and fill the emptiness of your heart with anything your mind can imagine; money, power, relationships, or whatever you crave the most. The cry of your heart is if I have the right job or the right person is in my life, I will be happy. I am the treasure you seek. (Where are you going?)
When you are young, you are never satisfied with what you have and want something more to make you happy. Your wish is not only to be happy, but you are always seeking to be happier. The problem is you never will be satisfied or contented until you realize I am the treasure you seek.
There comes a moment when you realize there is a hole in your soul that can never be filled by anything in this world. Unfortunately, you must experience the ups and downs of life before you realize that all the money in the world cannot buy a moment’s peace, and no person alive can fulfill and meet your every need. Don’t let your desires to be happy put you in bondage to the destructive forces of the world.
I created you for fellowship and communion with me. You are homesick from the moment you’re born for a home that is not of this world. The emptiness and loneliness you feel in your soul are taken away by the awareness of my abiding presence being with you moment by moment.
As you spend time alone with me, focus on communicating with me, and seek my will, and I will fill your heart with peace and love. (Abide in Me) Seeking my kingdom in a world that entices you with every conceivable desire to satisfy you sounds incredibly dull, but my kingdom is the pearl of great price that a person will sell everything they have to possess it. Seek me first, and I will give you the desires of your heart. I am the treasure you seek.
